Who owns Lupita Nyong'o? She is Kenyan!!

Looking at all the claims people make when one of our own makes it to the top amazes most Kenyans around the globe. Last time it was US President Barack Obama from Alego, now our own Lupita, one of Kenya's best actors has won top Academy and SAG awards and off goes the whistle.

Prof Peter Anyang' Nyong'o, Kisumu Senator is the father of Lupita and as history has it, the actress was born to both mum and dad from Kenya albeit at a hospital in Mexico where her parents were in political exile. Her Family returned to Kenya where she grew up before moving to Hampshire College in Massachusetts for undergraduate studies. From there, Lupita joined Yale School of Drama where she graduated in 2012. Now that she has bagged inn the 2014 Golden Globe and SAG Awards, sceptics are up in arms to try and steal the limelight.
Needless to mention, Lupita's acting career seriously set off when she was only 14 and played 'Juliet' in the famous Romeo and Juliet at a theater in Kenya not to forget her role in the regular Kenyan Television series "Shuga" which was produced by MTV. Lupita's international breakthrough came by her role in the Kenya filmed 'The Constant Gardener' starring Ralph Fiennes.
