Prince William who has been awarded the title of "Duke of Cambridge" by the Queen wed his long time girlfriend, Miss Kate Middleton. Kate becomes "Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge" from today. The wedding was held at the Westminster Abbey mid Friday the 29th of April and was witnessed by some 1,900 guests (at the Abbey) and millions of TV viewers around the world.
The newly wedded couple later left the Abbey for Buckingham Palace aboard a 1902 open-topped State Landau. They are hosting a buffet reception for the invited 650 guests at the Palace.
Prince William proposed to Kate when they were on holiday in Kenya.
