Madaraka Day Celebrations in Oslo

KiN Reports
This year's Madaraka Day Celebrations held in Oslo has been characterised by many attendees as on of the best in many years. The party that started at 20:00 CET with a quarum that grew to a minimum 120 by midnight drew Kenyans and friends from all corners of Norway including a few from Sweden and Denmark.

The hosting venue offered Kenyans a perfectly relaxed and welcoming environment that saw a majority dance to the tunes from home including Mugithi, Ohangla, Chakacha and loads of traditional songs. The speakers of the evening included Leah, Makosir, Willy and Sammy.

Again, thanks to the organisers and Willy's Bar for hosting this year's Madaraka Day Party.

Hei thanks, why pay kr 100,- this is a bar with free entrance??

Hei Kenyan lady, the fee was Kr 50,- after 21:00 hours. Needless to mention, the bar is a business venue and the mere Kr. 50,- was a symbolic cover charge. If all was to be charged normally you would be expected to part with at least Kr. 150,- to enter such a great party. Let it be clear, noen of the organisers included the one who invited you got paid a coin from the cover charge. We thank Willy's Bar for hosting Kenyans and friends of Kenya 'free' of charge for using the venue.

Where was the board of the newly formed Kenyan association? If they cannot even organize Kenya's National Day celebrations like Madaraka Day, what are they doing in that board???????
