May be I'm the only one seeing a mistake here, but I beg to be corrected if am wrong. I was one of the election officials and I don't remeber having seen this name - Nimo Osman Elmi in our list of board members. Could the chairman tell kenyans why he has included him here. TRANSPARENCY PLEASE!!!!!!
I hope to start seeing these updates in AKIN's website soon. I know this could be sensitive to the owner of this blog page, but please don't delete it.

Hello anonymous election official (by the way there were three officials: Alice, Isaac and Moses). First, thanks for the success of the elections and generally the AGM.

There is nothing to worry about the name since it was your role to present to us (new board) the list of elected members. As far as I can remember, you had announced that at least two members from the old AKIN board were to continue in the new board. The former Chairman and the Secretary vied for re-election and as the results show, only the Secretary was re-elected. Knowing that Nimmo (a she not he) was the former treasurer, it would defeat simple logic if she and the former chairman vaccated office at the same time. Further details state that the two were the only financial signatories of AKIN in 2010/2011.
I hope my reply cleared any doubts and shed light on the very fabric of AKIN board 2011/2012 that aims to work for a very transparent and responsible organisation.
Please sign your comments with your name, I'll respond whenever possible. Asante sana.
