Kenyan woman committed suicide because of loneliness in Britain

KiN Reports
Tragedy hit Kenyans in Britain where the 28 year old Sales Manager Sharon Bukokhe of Levenshulme, Manchester took her own life because of loneliness.

Inquest have it that she planned the suicide very well and was prepared to die. She had written in a diary found after her death that: ‘I think that any life is as valid as the next, such that an ending of 25 is as good as 88. I have no real regrets or fears any more, I just feel decisive and justified.’

Mrs Bukokhe (best known as Tindi), who appeared to friends to be ‘the happiest person in the world’, settled in the UK in 2002 and graduated in design and engineering at Nottingham Trent University. She always appeared happy and contained but behind all that, there was a sigh of loneliness that ended in her decision to depart.

A well informed Mrs Bukokhe was appointed sales manager of a charity helping with family planning issues involving third world countries.

Despite her good standing, Mrs Bukokhe was deeply affected by her family living in other countries i.e the husband in South Africa, brother in Gillingham, Kent, mother living in Richmond, Virginia in the US and her sister in Canada.

KiN sends heartfelt condolences to Mrs Bukokhe's family, friends and Kenyans in Britain.
