CORD's Kalonzo Musyoka contests vote tallying

KiN Newsroom
Prime Minister Raila Odinga's running mate Kalonzo Musyoka of the CORD alliance alleged earlier today (Thursday 7th. March 2013) that vote results had been "doctored".

“We have evidence that the results we have received have been doctored,” and added that in some cases the “total votes cast exceeds the actual number of registered voters.”

The outgoing Vice President however urged for calm and stressed that the allegations were "not a call to mass action” since CORD was “committed to the principle of rule of law”.

“Because of these concerns, we as a coalition take the position that the national vote tallying process lacks integrity and has to be stopped,” added Musyoka.
