Nairobi JKIA arrival terminal on fire

Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) has been closed down indefinately following a fire breakout at the arrival terminal.
The fire that broke out early this Wednesday morning (around 5 am) has since been contained. The cause of the fire is yet to be assertained. Two casualties have been reported; one Kenya Airports Authority employee and one passenger have been sent to hospital for observation.

All flights to JKIA are being diverted to Moi International Airport (Mombasa), Kisumu International Airport and Eldoret Airport.

The international arrival hall is reported to have suffered serious damages and renders the terminal non functional. The damage caused by the fire is said to be enormous and may lead to an elaborate closure of the hub of African air transport.
