President Barack Obama to visit Kenya

KiN Newsroom
President Barack Obama is scheduled to visit Kenya this July to co-host a forum on entrepreneurship. The news from the White House is considered very viable noting that the President avoided stopping in Kenya during his earlier trips to Africa. while he visited several countries. The announcement comes at a very prime time after the ICC case against President Uhuru Kenyatta has been dropped and Kenya is on track with several development partners from the East including China. Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) was founded by President Obama six years ago and has noticed the progress Kenya has made in the last few years. This is the first time GES forum is being hosted in an African country and choosing Kenya is a great sign of acceptance and proves the fact that we have a country destined for greater innovation and entrepreneurship progress.

Needless to mention that Obama's father, the late Barack Obama Sr came from Kenya and so this is, for many Kenyans, a visit long overdue. However, President Obama has visited Kenya multiple times with the latest one recorded in August 2006 when he was still a senator. Before then, he had visited his fatherland in 1995 and was seen helping his grandmother and mingling with the locals.
We at KiN and Kenyans in the diaspora wish President Barack Obama a great visit to Kenya, one of the world's most beautiful countries.
