Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi is reported to have died at a hospital in Brussels Monday evening. The 57 year old Zenawi, a former rebel fighter came to power in 1991 after toppling Mengistu Haile Mariam.
Deputy Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn is set to "act on behalf of the Prime Minister in his absence" according to the constitution of Ethiopia.

A dictator he was seen to be but power he spread to the districts much as he kept tight controll at the top. At least Ethiopia got nice roads, schools and local services are much better now. R.I.P.
