Americas 44th. President, Barack Hussein Obama retook the oath of office on Wednesday to clear the air after Tuesday's scandalous mistake made by the Chief Justice John Roberts. With the world as his audience and the media right on hold, CJ John Roberts led the ceremony to a breathtaking short hold when he flubbed a line in the oath of office. This led to a situation which in a way looked comical but serious though Obama tackled it as calm as would be expected of a great leader.
Here is the print of how it developed:
CJ John Roberts: .......that I will execute the office of president to the United States faithfully .....
Barack Obama: ...... that I will execute ......
CJ John Roberts:...... the off ---- faithfully the pres ----- the office of president of the United States.
Barack Obama: ...... (talking at the same time) ...... the office of president of the United States faithfully.
CJ John Roberts: So help me GOD.
Barack Obama: So help me GOD.
The second and correct oath of office (according to the constitution) was re-administered by CJ John Roberts at 7:35 p.m. on Wednesday the 21st. january 2009 in the White House's Map Room.
The mistake made on Tuesday by the Chief Justice was that he mixed the words and presented the following:
Roberts leste ....."that I will execute the Office of President to the United States faithfully".
where he should have said: ....."that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States".
Despite this situation, based on the constitution, Obama had already become the 44th. President of USA by 12:00 on Tuesday 20th. January 2009.
