Makosir's Project Wins Norwegian Royal Prize

This year's Crown Prince and Crown Princess' Humanitarian Prize has been awarded to the 'Vær Stolt Project' where Fredrick Makosir is a central member of the steering committee. The prize has been awarded to the project due to the latter's hard work within the local community and Oslo region at large. The project is geared towards empowering the youth and engaging parents and adults in ensuring the safety and development of children and youth in the region. Vær Stolt (Be Proud) is all about being proud of doing good to others, encouraging one another to make good and achieve positive results for the local community thereby educating on environmental issues, social and cultural development, among other fileds. The project has had close links with Holmlia Sports Club but will from next year be more independent with it's main board and budget. Plans are underway for the two day 2010 festival to be hosted at Lusetjerndalen.
