Seminar: Norwegian Sickle Cell Anemia Organisation

The Norwegian Sickle Cell Anemia Organisation (NSCAO) invites you to a seminar and a barbeque party to be held on the 14th. August 2010. The aim of the seminar is to enlighten and establish a network of volunteers who can provide useful information as well as practical and emotional support to children and young people who are living with the sickle cell disease in Norway.

NSCAO hopes to achieve the following through the seminar:
- To reduce the social level of social isolation felt by many young people living with thedisease
- To boost their confidence and self esteem
- To link children and young people into community
- To make and meet new friends
- To establish long term sustainable social relationship in the mainstream community

12:25 – 12:45 introduction of NSCAO`s youth forum by Churchill Odiero / Benter, Project Coordinator
12:45 – 13:00 BREAK
13:00 – 13:30 Sickle videos
13:30 – 14:30 Barbecue
14:30 – 15:30 Workshop: Participation open to all sickle cell sufferers, care providers and every one present
15:30 – 16:00 coffee/cake
