Kenyan Minister Sacked Over Ethnic Violence

KiN Newsroom
President Mwai Kibaki has sacked Livestock and Development Assistant Minister Dhadho Godana from office after the minister was charged with incitement to violence during the Tana River killings that left more than 100 people dead.

Dhado is the current Galole MP and the first lawmaker to be arrested and arraigned in court facing charges of incitement to violence in the Tana Delta region. The arrest comes immediately after President Kibaki ordered the arrest of leaders believed to have  believed to have incited, funded or planned the skirmishes and retaliatory attacks that have so far claimed at least 115 lives in the region.
