The independence party KANU now says it will support Prime Minister Raila Odinga in its presidential bid next year. Party chairman Gideon Moi who was campaigning for the Kanu candidate in Ndhiwa said Kanu had resolved not to field a presidential candidate in the March 2013 General Election. Prime Minister Raila Odinga on his part was in Kangema campaigning for a candidate from the party of former Mungiki leader, Maina Njenga.
