It was a pure African show at this year's 1000m World Athletics Championships when 19 year old Linet Chepkwemoi Masai from Kenya (left) won gold. Masai defeated Ethiopia's Meselech Melkamu (silver) and Wude Ayalew (bronze). Grace Kwamboka Momanyi (in the foto) finished fourth.
